Research advances in genetics have the potential to revolutionize the practice of medicine. But to reach that goal, laboratory scientists and clinical researchers must work together to make the transition from scientific discovery to clinical practice. At the University of Michigan, the Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine (CGHM) was established to help facilitate this transition. Its mission is to foster collaboration among scientists and clinicians who are conducting research that crosses the boundary between the science of genetics and the practice of medicine.
Like the Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine, this Web site will evolve and grow over time to meet the needs of U-M researchers.
