News and Events in the Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine
2009 Postdoctoral Fellowship Award
Frederic Castinetti and Charles Linyu Lu were named as the 2009 Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine Postdoctoral Fellowship awardees. The Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine awards two postdoctoral fellowships each academic year. Each fellowship provides one year of funding for individuals who wish to undertake a research project in the field of genetics in health and medicine. We encourage interdisciplinary projects, with co-mentorship by faculty in clinical and basic sciences in the Medical School or co-mentorship across different schools. Second Round for Pilot Feasibility Grant Program Announced
Based on the success of the Pilot Feasibility Grant Program, the Center for Genetics in Health and Medicine has announced a second round of funding. The award will fund up to $50,000 to foster new collaborations on campus between members of the University of Michigan faculty from distinct disciplines to focus their combined research strengths on cutting-edge areas in genetics and genomics. The deadline to submit an application is September 2, 2008, 11:00 p.m. EDT. For more information about the pilot feasibility grant program visit http://www.cghm.med.umich.edu/pilot/
